This occasional column features clever, non-commercial OHS improvements which people have recently implemented at their workplace. They need not have cost a bundle. They might not have cost anything. But they will have reduced the chance of injury or ill health. Let us know, and we'll write a story about it - for nothing.

On the Move

This regular column features a few words about people newly appointed to significant OHS positions in New Zealand. If you are one of them, let us know and we'll put you in - for nothing.

Comment/Letter to the editor

If you have an opinion about some aspect of OHS in New Zealand, we want to hear about it. You can write a piece for our regular Comment column (about 700 words will do nicely), or if you don't want to write that much, then simply dash off a letter to the editor (less than 300 words, please).

Technical feature article

If you have expertise in a particular field of OHS and would like to write about it for Safeguard, by all means contact us. We will help you identify interesting angles to approach the subject, and of course we will take care of editing the text so that it reads well. However, please don't be offended if we decline to show interest in your idea - it may be that we have recently run a story on a similar topic, or that we simply judge the topic to be of insufficient interest to our readers, or that we cannot see how your commercial interest in the subject can be separated from the story. (Because, of course, we want you to write wearing your expert's hat, not your salesperson's hat.) If your story is published then you will be credited at the end with your name, organisation and email contact address.
