ENERGEX LTD was fined $18,000 under s6 and was ordered to pay a further $18,000 in reparations to an employee who suffered second degree electrical burns to his arms and legs when the power supply to a transformer he was working on was restored without his knowledge. When the electricity was reconnected, by workmen at some distance from the transformer, the injured man was holding an insulated cable, which caused a flashover as he brought it close to the transformer ( Tokoroa DC, April 3).
