Automotive parts supplier PARTMASTER LTD was fined $2000 for each of two s13(b) training charges, and a further $1500 under s7(1)(a) for having no system to identify hazards, after an employee standing on the raised forks of a forklift was injured when he fell 2.5m onto concrete. Neither he nor the forklift driver were trained forklift operators. The injured man, who suffered multiple fractures to the arm, wrist, elbow and thumb, was awarded $3500 (Waitakere DC, 12 May)
