Accident Compensation Cases

New Zealand Meat Industry Association v Accident Compensation Corporation (NZPCC, 04/05/88)

Judgment Text

Oral judgment of the Lords of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, delivered by Lord Keith of Kinkel
Lord Keith of Kinkel, Lord Roskill, Lord Brandon of Oakbrook, Lord Brightman, Lord Griffiths
Mr. Barton and Mr. Millard have presented the appellants' case with great skill and clarity. Their Lordships, however, have not been persuaded that there is any doubt about the correctness of the decision of the Court of Appeal. The reasons for that decision contained in the judgment of the learned President Sir Robin Cooke are, in their Lordships' opinion, entirely apt to support it, and no useful purpose would be served by their Lordships attempting to reproduce these reasons in their own words.
Their Lordships will therefore humbly advise Her Majesty that the appeal should be dismissed. The appellants must pay the respondent's costs.
