Subclasses and categories for toxic substances
(1)
Toxic substances are divided into the subclasses 6.1, 6.3, 6.4, 6.5, 6.6, 6.7, 6.8, and 6.9, and each subclass is divided into 1 or more categories.
(2)
A toxic substance is classified as having a particular hazard classification if it meets the criteria set out in the table in Schedule 4 for that hazard classification.
(3)
For the purposes of subclass 6.1, toxic substances that meet the criteria for more than 1 category must be classified in the category with the highest degree of hazard.
(4)
Subclass 6.2 is unallocated.
