Fall protection options

Vertical cable system: The SÖLL Vi-Go system can be retrofitted onto existing climbing devices such as ladders and rungs. It is made up of minimal components, which is intended to make it easy to use and install, can support up to eight workers at any one time, and can be used in a wide range of environments. Features include a smooth travelling system, a dual locking mechanism, a cable tensioner with three integrated functions, versatile intermediate brackets to prevent excessive movement, and two different mounting clamps in steel.

Miners’ harness: This product is part of a new range of miners’ harnesses for workers/sites that require a conformance mark and are required to work in restraint and/or fall arrest. Each product in the range has been designed for the mining industry to provide a safe, simple and functional harness and belt combination designed to cover all mining applications. All the harnesses meet the requirements of the new AS/NZS 1891.1:2007 standard, are equipped with suspension trauma straps and are i-Safe enabled.

Doubly tough gloves

Designed for heavy duty work:

New double-tough Nitrile gloves are advertised as strong, durable, and ideal for heavy duty tasks. Double the thickness of a standard Nitrile glove, they are designed for situations where extra strength or chemical resistance is required. The disposable and latex-free gloves feature 300mm cuff length, and come in sizes from small to XXLarge. There are 25 pairs of gloves per packet.

Improved gas detection

New multi-gas detector: The new Biosystems PHD6 multi gas detector features five sensor ports, up to six channels of detection and 18 sensor options -including electrochemical, LEL, PID and infrared. Suitable for most gas monitoring situations, the product has a built-in datalogger and easy-to-navigate menus. Advertised as easy to handle, the product can to be positioned on a belt or clothing, and also comes with a standard vibrating alarm.

Improved towbar defector: The Shinguard Towbar Defector is intended to prevent painful leg strikes, and loss of balance which could result in a fall, from protruding towbars. Manufactured in stainless steel, the defector has a lifetime guarantee and can be transferred between vehicles.
